This foot can be set to sew on each side of the zipper. The edge of the foot guides the zipper to ensure straight placement.

Installing A Zipper

When installing a zipper that closes at the neckline it seems difficult to get the stitching to come out even at the top. Using a slightly longer zipper might be the answer.

Janome Supplies Needed:

• Any Janome Machine
• Zipper Foot E or Narrow-Based Zipper Foot
• Zipper 2" longer than pattern requires
• Thread of choice

Instructions

1. Baste the zipper to the garment following instructions. The zipper will hang over the top of the garment.
2. Stitch the zipper in place using the Zipper Foot.
3. Remove the basting.
4. Pull the zipper stop down below the line of the garment.
